+ What makes TIPS different from other poker schools?
We are the only live poker school in the UK and are a company set up and run by pros.
+ How many players will be attending?
As it’s our first event we are putting a cap of 50 on the day this will be increased for future events.
+ Who will be the poker mentors?
TIPS will consist of numerous professionals. The players include:

+ How will poker be taught?
There will be 3 Topics lead by the pros where they will discuss, demonstrate and involve the participants in the selected topic. As well as the topics we will also have STT and a MTT where what you would have been taught can be put into action.
+ Will teaching take place in real life or online?
All teaching will take place live.
+ Will the school be aimed at beginners, intermediate, or advanced players?
The school focuses on players who have been in the game for a while and so we would discourage people very new to the game. Intermediates will have the most to learn but even advanced players who work professionally will pick up more than a trick or two.
+ Are there different types of courses?
We intend to run our beginners courses in 2010 with a wide variety of others to follow including weekend seminars abroad. There will also be different types of games, tournaments and cash games. Please regularly check our website for details.
+ How long does training go on for?
It’s usually a full-day but in time we’ll be offering weekend long courses as well.
+ Is it a one-off charge or monthly fee
Each course is a one-off charge
+ What do I get for my money?
Over the course of three comprehensive sessions, you have the opportunity to gain the maximum benefit possible from your time spent face-to-face with one of several leading professional poker players.
In addition to the separate sessions explaining everything from how to profit from your opponents’ betting behaviour to tournament strategies and the importance of hand selection, you will be immersed in a unique poker experience where you’ll have the chance to participate in the following:
An open forum where you can quiz the pros on the benefits of bluffing, how to play aggressively, how to lay traps, calculating pot odds and any other poker-related subject.
Sit n’ Go-style tournaments with a professional and dealer at each table where you will be able to put your newly-acquired poker knowledge into practice.
A shoot-out tournament where you play ‘for real’ and have the chance to win some incredible prizes.
