About TIPS

While there are a number of online poker schools, many of variable quality, there are very few places where players can learn about the game and its nuances in an authentic ‘live’ environment, particularly in the UK.

We believe that even good internet-based tuition is limited because to truly master the game, it is essential to gain experience in a ‘live’ setting.

Poker takes on another dimension when players are sat around a table observing their opponents eye-to-eye against a background of rattling of chips and audible dealer instructions.  

In fact, it’s the very reason we created The International Poker School. We wanted to establish a place where players of all abilities could assemble to learn about the game, meet face-to-face with some of the world’s most successful professionals and, most importantly, learn how to beat them.  

Formed in autumn 2009, TIPS’ first poker day-long course took place in September. We were overwhelmed with the response from people who attended, as you can see by clicking to our testimonial page here. Over the next twelve months, we’ll be hosting a variety of different seminars and courses every week; these will include everything from our popular one-day events to intense weekend courses.  

Our courses will continue to focus on the game’s most important aspects, with each hosted by one of our well-known professionals including Paul Jackson, Paul Zimbler, John Tabatabai, Marc Goodwin, Liv Boeree, Carlo Citrone, Michael Greco, Mickey Wernick and James Browning

Furthermore, there’s something for everyone, irrespective of the level at which you currently play poker.
